The Chairman, OSCOTECH Esa-Oke Governing Council, Prince Diran Odeyemi on Thursday 9th November, 2023 sworn-in members of the Ninth (9th) Governing Council of the institution. Recall that Prince Diran Odeyemi was himself sworn in as the Chairman Governing Council of OSCOTECH, by the Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke on Thursday 27th July, 2023.

 style= The Chairman who heartily welcomed members onboard the institution Council, charged them to always remember tomorrow because all office holders must be conscious of time. He urged them to be good ambassadors of their political party and the College. Prince Odeyemi promised that the Ninth (9th) Council will cooperate with the Management in ensuring that the College maintains it's lead among other institutions in Nigeria.

The Rector, Dr Samson Akinbamide Omobayo Adegoke who was flanked by other members of the Management, congratulated the Chairman and Members of the Ninth (9th) Governing Council, he however noted with disdain a number of problems bedeviling the progress of Polytechnic Education. He listed those problems to include poor funding and harsh/unfavorable regulatory policies laid down by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC): these policies according to him are responsible for dwindling population of students in Polytechnics.

The Rector maintained that the future belongs to the Polytechnics because emphasis is shifting from Certificate to Skills Certification and MICROCREDENTIALS. The Rector concluded that both Management and the Governing Council have the responsibility to reposition OSCOTECH in the midst of the present reality of unfavourable environment.
