The Rector of Osun State College of Technology Esa-Oke, Dr. Samson Akinbamide Omobayo Adegoke on Thursday 21st, September 2023 bagged the World Icon of Peace award; and was also inducted as a Fellow of the World lnstitute For Peace.
The award was conferred on Dr. Adegoke in recognition of his contributions to world peace. The award which was part of the programmes to mark year 2023 lnternational Day for Peace, was held at the Nigeria Army Resource Center, Abuja.
The World Institute for Peace (WIP) is an organisation which aims at promoting world peace, providing humanitarian services and preserving peoples' right across the world.
The theme of this year lnternational Day for Peace (lDP) is "ACTIONS FOR PEACE: OUR AMBITION FOR THE GLOBAL GOALS"
Other recepients of this year award include retired Major General V.O Ezugwu; the lyaloja General of Nigeria, Chief Dr. Folasade Tinubu Ojo; Mr. Nasir Abdulkadir and other prominent Nigerians.
The Directorate of Media and Public Relations, on behalf of the entire College Community congratulates Dr. Adegoke for adding yet another beautiful feather to his cap and making the college proud.
