It was funfair galore on 2nd and 3rd August 2024 as OSCOTECH North America Alumni Chapter held her Biennial Convention.
The Convention which was held at the Columbus Colony Community Center Ohio, USA has in attendance the Chairman OSCOTECH Governing Council, Prince Diran Odeyemi and the Rector, Dr. Samson Akinbamide Omobayo Adegoke.
Prince Odeyemi in his address at the Convention, said he was elated to identify with the Chapter Alumni. He noted that OSCOTECH Alumni has recorded some laudable achievements which includes building of the largest hall in the College.
The Chairman stated further that a vital part of being an Alumnus is to find a way of giving back to the alma mater through donations. He concluded by appealing to the Chapter Alumni to donate generously to projects and programmes that can motivate more students to attend the College.
Dr. S.A.O Adegoke in his own address expressed his delight to attend the programme in company of the Governing Council Chairman. He attributed achievements recorded in the College since he became the Rector to the cooperation and goodwill he received from the State Government, Governing Council, Management, Staff and Students of the College. Dr. Adegoke urged the Alumni to always relate with one another as brothers and sisters, share expertise and resources, and donate generously to the purchase of the Coaster Bus for the College which the North America Chapter wishes to achieve during the Convention.
The convention reached the crescendo with the presentation of awards to Prince Diran Odeyemi, Dr. S.A.O Adegoke, Professor Kabir Aderemi Adeyemi and His Royal Highness, Oba Rasheed Adetayo Oludele, the Adagba 1 of Iyanfoworogi Ile-Ife, for their Contributions to the development of OSCOTECH.
